500 follower special coming very soon!

It won’t be much longer, guys, I promise. I’ll hopefully at least have it out before I hit 600, which actually looks like it might happen very soon. (Is that a humble-brag? Or just a brag?) I’m going to be adapting the first two sections of The Ballad of Reading Gaol by Oscar Wilde. I want to thank everyone for the suggestions they sent in; a lot of them were really appealing, and I might get around to doing some of them later.

Anyway, there actually is a point to this post (besides getting my 99th post out of the way so my next one can be post 100). I was wondering if any of you know whether Dave and Rose from the doomed timeline (where John was killed by his denizen) ever met each other in person. Their dreamselves did, but do we know anything either way about their waking selves?

So now a few odds and ends; feel free to stop reading now, all the important stuff is over. First of all, if you haven’t seen it yet, the wonderful Octopimp did a delightful reading of Green Eggs and Dead, and made a video to go along with it. And several other people have made awesome recordings too. (If there’s anyone else out there who did one that I missed, let me know, and I’ll add it in here.) I want to thank everybody for the amazing response that post received; the number of notes alone inflated my ego to roughly the size of a zeppelin.

Next little thing: if anyone, for some odd reason, is curious about what text I put under the Acorn’s Shadow poem, here it is: “Lulu wrapped her arms around Acorn’s neck in a tight hug. ‘Anna will be so glad I found you,’ she said with a wide smile. She began to laugh, and Acorn nickered as if he was joining in. Lulu took Acorn’s reins and began to lead the tired pony home. ‘You must be looking forward to seeing Snow White again, right?’ Lulu said. ‘But I know you’ll want to see Anna most of all. I bet she’ll give you a good brushing to get all of these burrs out of your mane. You sure did give us a scare, Acorn. It was almost” This has been your useless sonnetstuck trivia of the day. You’re welcome.

Finally, another thank you to people who sent in suggestions for my upcoming poem. And a reminder that if you want to see a poem about a specific topic in the future, I’m always, always looking for suggestions. And if anyone has an answer to my Rose/Dave question, let me know.
